Ran Longhui, professor senior engineer, awarded special allowance from State Council of People’s Republic of China.

Ran Longhui has more than 50 years experience in oil and gas industry. He used to be dean of the Institution of Geological Exploration and Development at Sichuan Petroleum Administration of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry, chief geologist of the Sichuan Petroleum Administration, deputy general manager of PetroChina Southwest Oil &Gasfield Company, chairman of the Natural Gas Committee of Chinese Petroleum Society, and academic committee member of the Key Laboratory for Oil and Gas Reservoir Formation and Development. He is currently the editor-in-chief of “Natural Gas Industry B”.

Ran Longhui has been engaged in research and production of natural gas exploration and development in Sichuan Basin for a long time. He has played an important role in sustainable development of natural gas resources in Sichuan Basin. He has completed and achieved results in “Evaluation of Oil and Gas Resources in Sichuan Basin”, “Research on Reservoir Forming Conditions and Evaluation of Exploration Targets of Yuxing-Feixianguan Gas Reservoir in Northeastern Sichuan Basin”, “Research and Application of Unbalanced Drilling Technology in Sichuan Gas Reservoir”, and “Promotion and Application of Supporting Techniques for Reservoir Comprehensive Evaluation in Exploration in Eastern Sichuan”, which won the first and second prizes in Science and Technology Innovation Award of the Ministry of Petroleum Industry and CNPC.
